Чрасиищевая echocardiography (Chpajocg), or custody ultrasound examination of the heart - the method of ultrasound diagnosis of the heart using a special sensor, administered through the esophagus.
This method makes it possible to obtain better visualization of small structures of the heart due to the absence of interference (subcutaneous fat layer, ribs, lung tissue).
Transesophageal echocardiography is used in all cases, when the resolution of transthoracic echocardiography does not allow an accurate diagnosis to be made, study in detail the anatomy of various intracardiac structures, exclude the presence of blood clots and evaluate the functioning of the heart valves.
