Botulinum therapy for spasticity at the FRC FTM clinic

The neurological department of the FRC FTM clinic treats spasticity in patients older 18 years with botulinum toxin type A.

Indications: central hemi- pair- or tetraparesis due to a stroke, CNS injuries (brain or spinal cord), multiple sclerosis, consequences of surgical interventions on the brain, etc..

Contraindications:

-hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug

-myasthenia gravis, myasthenic and myasthenic-like syndromes,

treatment with aminoglycoside antibiotics (for 1 weeks. before and 2 weeks. after injection)

-bleeding disorder

-pregnancy, lactation

– acute disease and exacerbation stage of chronic diseases;

local inflammatory process at the injection site.

Conditions for the provision of medical care to patients:

• within the framework of the basic program of compulsory medical insurance (compulsory medical insurance policy and direction in the form 057 / y are required, issued by a clinician)
• paid medical services
• under a voluntary medical insurance policy
