The popular vote for the Capital of Culture of the Year continues. Annual national competition “Capital of Culture of the Year” (Further – Contest), conducted with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives is intended to become an effective instrument of modern cultural policy, aimed at creating a favorable climate for the socio-economic development of all territories of the Russian Federation.
Based on the results of the expert stage of the “Capital of Culture 2027” competition, eight finalist cities were identified: Vologda, Novosibirsk, Ulyanovsk, Sochi, Chelyabinsk, Stavropol, Kaluga and Ryazan.
The victory will give the city of Novosibirsk new opportunities for the development of museums, theaters, concert venues, holding festivals, will attract more tourists and guests to our wonderful city.
To 6 December 2025 voting for the title of Cultural Capital of Russia is taking place on the State Services portal 2027.
