Specialists of the Federal Research Center for Fundamental and Translational Medicine (FIC FTM) presented at the international annual forum of scientific and technological development "Technoprom-2023" dressings-tamponade "Plantago" on a kaloin basis.
Hemostatic dressing «Plantago», FTM, developed and produced at the FRC, is designed to stop bleeding, stopping bleeding within three minutes. The product is a non-woven fabric with high absorbent properties., impregnated with hemostatic substance. Packed in a sterilized wax paper bag, which in turn can be used for lung injury.
Plantago Hemostatic Bandage replaces gauze when used as a hemostatic dressing over a wound. Kaolin, applied to a hemostatic bandage, coagulates the blood. Hemostasis occurs through 3-4 minutes from the moment of tamponing of the wound.
Active substance – kaolin. That, unlike classical chitosan, does not cause allergic reactions and increase the temperature of the wound channel. After use, thanks to the zip lock, the rest of the bandage can be saved and used in the future.
Hemostatic dressing tamponade "Plantago" was provided free of charge to military personnel and mobilized, taking part in a special military operation.
