The main direction of scientific research is the study of the structural mechanisms of compensatory-adaptive reactions under the influence of extreme environmental factors and age-related features of regeneration and remodeling of the heart..

E.V. Koldysheva carried out original morphological studies of the adrenal glands during the reproduction of extreme environmental impacts - the influence of hypobaric hypoxia, general overheating of the body, natural and premature (genetically determined metabolic disorders) aging. Remodeling of the adrenal cortex under the action of extreme factors has been shown, manifested in: transient atrophy with acute exposure and hypertorophia with repeated stressful exposure. Installed, that stress-induced remodeling of the adrenal cortex is determined by the development of a general adaptation syndrome, an increase in regenerative-plastic insufficiency and restoration of intracellular regeneration processes.
