Main scientific directions:

NIIECM carries out fundamental, search and applied (including clinical) scientific research in the following areas:

• The study of molecular cellular, systemic and intersystem processes of compensation and adaptation in normal and pathological conditions, including in the ecological conditions of Siberia and the Far North;
• Creation of personalized medicine technologies for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of socially significant diseases, taking into account the gene- and phenotypic diversity, gender and age characteristics of a person;
• Development of new tools, technologies and methods of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of infectious and non-communicable diseases, diseases of mixed etiopathogenesis.
• Much attention is paid to the training of highly qualified scientific personnel. at the Institute with 2001 the Dissertation Council for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Science and Candidate of Science in the specialties "Pathological Physiology" – biological and medical sciences, "cell biology, cytology, histology" – medical sciences.
