Graduated in 1974 G. Novosibirsk State Institute, in 1983 G. defended her thesis on the topic "The function of external respiration and indicators of red blood among residents of the Far North", in 1999 G. – doctoral dissertation on the topic “Oxygen transport system in chronic non-specific lung diseases and coronary heart disease in the Far North”.

The main direction of scientific research is the study of the reaction of the extracellular matrix of connective tissue in normal and pathological conditions.,  under the action of extreme environmental environmental factors.

The main components of the extracellular matrix and the activity of lipid peroxidation reactions were studied in patients with osteochondrosis of the spine in the treatment of radon-containing mineral water.. The age-related features of the metabolism of the main components of the extracellular matrix in patients with myocardial infarction were studied in the dynamics of the formation of reparative fibrosis.. The study showed, that early use of ACE inhibitors inhibited collagen synthesis in 1 phases, reduced the rate of proteoglycan metabolism during 2 phases, which indicates the participation of ACE inhibitors in the regulation of collagen and proteoglycan metabolism.

Age-related changes in the content of extracellular matrix components in the liver were studied, lungs and spleen of mice. On the model of BCG-induced inflammatory tuberculosis, the stages of fibrosis of the lungs of mice were studied according to the content of hydroxyproline, collagen marker. On the same experimental model, the structure of proteoglycans in the lungs and the content of total glycosaminoglycans in blood serum were studied.. The effect of the anti-tuberculosis drug isonicotinic acid hydrazide was studied (GINK), the conjugate of GINK and oxidized dextran (dextrose) and liposomal form of dextrazide (LFDZ) on the components of the extracellular matrix of the lungs in mice with BCG-induced granulomatosis.

As part of the study of the influence of extreme environmental environmental factors, a study of the quality of life was carried out, features of remodeling of the extracellular matrix of connective tissue, hormonal status, lipid profile, indicators of aging, peripheral and central hemodynamics, arterial stiffness in men, residents of the European North of Russia (67^O With. sh.). When studying the age dynamics of the main components of the extracellular matrix, northerners found an increased content of total glycosaminoglycans, hyaluronan and type IV collagen in blood plasma, as well as total and peptide-bound hydroxyproline in urine, which indicates an accelerated metabolism. The noted positive correlation between the components of the extracellular matrix and biological aging demonstrate the relationship between two processes - aging, which is accelerated in the European North, and pathological remodeling of the extracellular matrix, because it is associated with accelerated aging.
