Activities – Study of clinical and immunological features and violations of cytokine regulation in the development of pathophysiological mechanisms:

–  at different stages of inflammatory processes of bacterial and viral origin in different age groups;

– in the context of their influence on the formation of the pathological course of pregnancy and on the programmed development of the fetus;

–  in the pathogenesis of socially significant diseases of the organ of vision (primary open-angle glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, autoimmune uveitis).

Research methods – clinical, functional, enzyme immunoassays

Graduated from the Novosibirsk State Medical Institute in 1986 G. specializing in pediatrics. AT 1990-1993 completed postgraduate studies in the specialty "immunology and allergology" at the Research Institute of General Pathology and Human Ecology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, laboratory of immunology of reproduction.

AT 1996 defended her thesis on the topic "Study of pathophysiological and immunological mechanisms in atopic bronchial asthma in children", in 2009 – doctoral dissertation on the topic “Pathogenetic features of inflammation and methods for its correction in remission and exacerbation of chronic herpetic infection”

   The main direction of scientific research – study of the immunopathogenesis of acute and exacerbations of chronic infectious and non-infectious inflammatory processes and their role in the occurrence of cytokine imbalance, actively involved in the processes of reproduction and violation of the course of pregnancy, as well as in the formation of pathological conditions of the fetus and newborn. Known, that the formation of many dysfunctions falls on the period of intrauterine development, in connection with which the study of the immuno-metabolic relationships of the mother and fetus is being carried out, as well as the study of immuno-metabolic processes in newborn children in follow-up.

    Also Obukhova O.O.. the study of the features of pathogenetic reactions in pathological processes is carried out, caused by viral and bacterial pathogens in different age groups.

   The problem of studying the pathogenetic features of viral infections has acquired particular relevance at the present time due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19.. In this regard, Obukhova O.O.. study of the developmental features of the most severe course of a new coronavirus infection – pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C), associated with SARS-CoV-2. The pathogenetic features of this process remain unclear., as well as possible long-term consequences (given the similarity of MIS-C to Kawasaki disease, when, against the background of the development of vasculitis, aneurysms can form, what could be a life threatening condition). This determines the relevance of both studying the features of the pathogenesis of MIS-C, and the possible development of diagnostic and prognostic criteria for damage to the vascular wall to prevent the development of complications of varying severity. One of the promising areas in the field of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of viral infections is an introduction to complex regimens of probiotics. Studies have shown the effectiveness of probiotics, capable of restoring the microflora of the intestines and nasopharynx, as a means of preventing viral and bacterial diseases and improving the quality of life of children. The relevance of probiotics is also due to the extremely small number of contraindications., the possibility of their combination with other drugs and the possibility of their use in children and adults.

Author over 100 scientific papers.
