The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation informs about the IV All-Russian competition "Inventor of the Year" (further – Competition).
The purpose of the Competition is to identify and popularize the best achievements of inventors and innovators, having a high economic and/or social effect, aimed at ensuring the technological sovereignty and leadership of the Russian Federation. The organizers of the Competition are the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia together with the public organization “All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators” with the support of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “National Research University “MPEI” (hereinafter referred to as National Research University "MPEI").
The competition includes the following nominations:
"Grand Prix" (awarded for the creation and implementation of inventions, possessing a high technical level and having maximum economic and/or social effect);
"Inventor of the Year" (winners and runners-up are determined by 9 directions, relevant topics of national technology leadership projects, in two age categories);
"Innovator of the Year" (for implemented innovation proposals with maximum technological and economic effect);
"Mentor of the Year" (for his great contribution to the training of young highly qualified specialists in the field of engineering and natural sciences).
Application deadline: to 30 September 2026 of the year. Award ceremony: 21 november 2026 of the year. Applications for participation are accepted on the Competition website: inventor-of-the-year.rf.
The winners and runners-up of the Competition will be awarded cash prizes, valuable gifts and special prizes in individual categories from the Competition partners.
