The federal program "Fighting diabetes" was launched at the beginning 2023 of the year. According to the program, the country is modernizing the provision of care for people with endocrine disorders. The main task includes informing patients, creation of diabetic schools and provision of pharmaceuticals and specialized products on preferential terms.
The project includes five directions:
- Retrofitting equipment to detect diabetes and monitor patients' condition.
- Ensuring the operation of schools for patients with diabetes.
- Training and advanced training of health workers, helping diabetics.
- Providing children with type I diabetes mellitus with continuous glucose monitoring systems.
- Scientific and technological development in endocrinology.
