Gulyaeva L.F. - A graduate of Novosibirsk State University with a degree in biology (1977 Mr.). After graduating from university in a period 1978 – 1993 years. worked as a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Cellular Mechanisms of Adaptation IKEM. S 1999 G. – Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Mechanisms of Carcinogenesis, Institute of Molecular Pathology and Ecological Biochemistry (With 1998 G. – Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics) SO RAMS, With 2018 d – NIIMBB as a part of FITs FTM.

Gulyaeva L.F. defended her Ph.D. thesis in the specialty "Biochemistry" in 1987 Mr., doctoral thesis in the specialties "Molecular Biology" and "Biochemistry" in 2000 G. The title of professor in the department was awarded in 2006 Mr., in the specialty "Molecular Biology" awarded in 2008 G.

The main scientific activity of Gulyaeva L.F.. associated with the study of genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of cancer development. She is the author 240 scientific works (32 - for the last 5 years), of them 2 monographs and 1 tutorial; Scientometric estimates as of 16.09.2022: RINC: 236 published articles, 1521 citations, h-index - 17.

Gulyaeva L.F. has experience in teaching as a professor at the Department of Environmental Chemistry of the FEN NSU (2003 – 2019 years), Professor of the Department of Molecular Biology of FEN NSU (With 2004 – n/a) and Professor of the Department of Chemistry of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education NGPU (With 2006 Mr.), Experience in preparing specialized courses. She developed courses of lectures and teaching aids for MedF students (IMPZ) NSU, FEN NGU, NGPU, which contributes to maintaining the high scientific potential of the laboratory and the influx of new students to complete theses. During the period of work at the Department of Environmental Chemistry - these are the author's courses "Environmental Biochemistry, "Molecular Basis of Toxic Processes", "Molecular Basis of Pathological Processes" and, together with Professor Vavilin V.A., «Toxicology», S 2018 G. she was elected to the position. Department of Clinical Biochemistry IMPZ NSU. S 2020 G. reads the basic course "Biochemistry" for students of the 3rd year of the IMPZ. Lyudmila Fedorovna prepared 12 candidates and 2 doctor of science, was the supervisor of more than 20 qualifying works of graduates of NSU and NSPU.

Gulyaeva L.F. has been in charge of the Laboratory of Molecular Mechanisms of Carcinogenesis for more than 20 years. During this time, she successfully copes with her duties., ensuring the efficient operation of the laboratory. Under her leadership, various research topics are being carried out, as well as projects of various grant agencies, such as RFBR, FTP and RNF. She does a lot of work, associated as with own scientific projects, and other laboratory projects. It should be noted the high quality of performance of official duties, required for education and qualifications. She has a high level of professionalism, necessary for the performance of the assigned duties. Under the leadership of L.F. As a result of the studies, signaling pathways were identified for the first time, specifically activating the nuclear receptor CAR and its target genes. Using the structure approach: activity revealed the most effective activators of the studied receptor. The results were published in highly ranked international journals. Led by L.F.. Gulyaeva studied the post-transcriptional regulation of the activity of cytochrome P450 isoforms and the role of miRNAs in its induction by various xenobiotics.. MicroRNAs were selected using bioinformatics approaches, able to regulate CYP1A/2B mRNA, and obtained the first experimental evidence of changes in the expression of selected miRNAs and their target genes under the influence of xenobiotics-inducers of CYP. In the field of studying the regulation of gene expression under the action of xenobiotics, these works were pioneering..

In the last decade, Lyudmila Fedorovna has been engaged in molecular genetic research of female oncological diseases (breast cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer), and non-small cell lung cancer. These works are carried out in collaboration with leading oncologists. Novosibirsk. For the first time in the Siberian region, the genetic polymorphism of estrogen metabolism enzymes for these diseases was studied and combinations of genes were identified, determining the risk of developing the disease.

Gulyaeva L.F. is a recognized specialist in the field of research into the epigenetic aspects of carcinogenesis with an emphasis on the role of miRNAs. These studies were supported by 3 RSF grants. Target genes identified using microRNAs have opened up opportunities for the identification of new molecular markers for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer of the female reproductive organs and lung cancer.
